Christmas Friends

Wasn't this such a fun day?  We always think we're just going to be together for an hour or so... and then 4 hours later, we're still all together, the husbands joining in to finish up lunch, and can't stop chatting!  I loved just sitting around the table, talking, catching up, and laughing!  I will always remember Danielle announcing the big news, she was gitty... I was SO surprised.  What a fun day!  We always seem to pick up right where we left off.  But I wish our breaks weren't so far and few between.  Such a fun day!

What a fun Winter Festival it was this year!  I wish I had my camera handy to get a picture of Dumbledorf (hope that's how you spell it.  I am not up with my Harry Potter) and the awesome fire!  I think this may have been my favorite so far.  Although, how do you compare... they're all so fun and different.  They're all ingrained in my memory.  Thanks Stu! :)  But it was so fun to just talk around the table all night!  Thanks Miss, for hosting us twice... at your house and at Winter Fest!

Hello my lady friends.  

This is upon request that I post pictures of our apartment.  Now... keep in mind I took these pics a few months ago so we weren't totally moved in.  I would take updated pictures today but we just had friends in town who left this morning so everything is a mess.  But you'll get the gist of it anyway.

Don't pay too much attention to the lights... it used to be 2 closets so Marsh and I worked hard to make those hanging light bulbs look decent!

So the cat's out of the bag and all the family knows about baby Curtis!!  They were so cute, very surprised.  Sometimes I let myself wander off and daydream about when I told you all.  It brings tears to my eyes to think about my amazing friends who are so supportive and loving and make me so happy.  Thanks guys.  Rach I was just looking at your blog and those adorable pictures of Lauren!!  Precious.  Laur I saw yours too and Ethan in a stocking :)  Cracked me up.  Miss post pictures of the festival!  I'm still so sad we missed out.  Les how are you feeling girl??  I'm so excited about that boy.  Whit are you back in Vegas or still enjoying the break?  And Al I haven't talked to you!  How are you feeling sister?  I missed seeing you in sl.  

I wish I could've spent more time with ALL of you in Salt Lake and celebrated the new year!  Hope you all had a good one.  Here's to 2011!!!!

I read this little article today, and couldn't help but think of you.  How many times have we played in the rain together?  And I still love to do it!  It's from here.

When you get caught in the rain and just don’t care

Water, water, everywhere.

Most of our brains and our blood and our bodies are water. Most of our babies and our beagles and our baths are water. Water rinses apples and washes cars. Water steams carrots and cures SARS.* (*Study pending.)

Yes, water cures thirst, shaves legs, and grows plants. Water flushes toilets, washes hair, and ships pants. We cannonball into pools, we float off the docks, we ice down our drinks, and we rinse all our socks.

We love water but somehow there’s one major moment where we dread Nature’s Best Liquid. Yes, I’m talking about rain, people — because you know as well as I do that when the skies split and the clouds crack everyone scowls and scampers for cover.

And that’s exactly what makes it great when once in a while you just, you know, don’t. That’s what makes it so great when it starts pouring on you and you just stop caring altogether.
Jumping in puddles, laughing with friends, chilled to the bone, soaked till the end — yes, when you’re getting wet and loving it suddenly soaked shoes, squishy worms, and rain hair mean nothing. You’re a gorilla in the rainforest, you’re a lion in the monsoon, you’re just another animal on Earth soaking and swirling and spinning and twirling in your beautifully wet blissful moment of

It's A Wonderful LIfe

Can't believe it's already this time of year again!?  Time really does fly.  I'm so glad Danielle shared this talent with us, and we were able to see her living her dream so much through the years.  I don't think any of us missed a year seeing Thriller and It's a Wonderful Life when Danielle was in it!  What a fun tradition.  I'm sure they're missing you this year too Danielle. 

And don't you just love the title of this show?  It really is true.  It's such a wonderful life.  Even though we each may have different struggles and things going on in life, it really is a wonderful life!  We are so blessed!

Always, but especially this time of year, I am so thankful for each of you.  We are so blessed to have such good, strong friendships, even though we may not talk everyday.  I feel so blessed.  Thank you for being such good examples to me in your everday lives.  I miss you, and am so very thankful for the closeness we share. 

Miss, as she's persued her dream of obtaining her Master's degree, and is now teaching!  She also may be the most thoughtful person I know...she never seems to miss a beat!  Danielle, is the most genuine person I have ever known.  She would drop anything in a heartbeat to help you.  Rachel is always up for a laugh and may be the most sweet and tender of us all!  Whit never seems to forget anything, from a birthday, to a thank you, she always remembers what is going on your life!  Allie is definately the most whitty.  She always has a story up her sleeve to tell you, and make you giggle your worries away.  Laura is the first little mommy of the bunch, and is always up for an adventure.  I am grateful for each of you today, and always.  Hope you're enjoying your day!

It was so much fun seeing Danielle for an afternoon.  The hours seem to go so quickly when we're together.  And she has the cutest house!  Danielle, post a photo of your new couch!  Can't wait to see what you kept describing.  And post photos of your entire house while you're at it.  Including your elevator.  :)  (Why didn't we take more pictures together?)
